To keep up with today’s fast moving technology, Marco Transport has installed integrated dispatch/GPS systems in all of its trucks.
The GPS fleet management system allows company dispatchers to keep drivers up-to-date in real time during all deliveries.
Now that information can be transmitted by the touch of a button, Marco Transport’s fleet productivity has greatly improved, and any potential for miscommunication has been elminated. Each driver is able to receive information on a docked data terminal from inside his or her truck.
In an effort to keep each fleet running at optimal performance, and to comply with today’s stringent environment regulations, Marco Transport is continuously updating equipment.
In 2014, Marco added two trucks with a third scheduled to arrive in November of this year.
Marco has also added trailers, including a 40-ton Landoll 440 Winch Trailer and a brand new 5-axle Murray, which is the company’s 16th 5-Axle Murray.
Marco Transport anticipates adding more tractors and trailers in 2015 in an effort to keep its fleet continuously updated.
